The first summer week of Horizon Decades gives you a fairly relaxed way to pick up rewards without turning the game into a second job. Series 2 started on June 18, and the usual Thursday rhythm is back: one season at a time, fresh events, a Weekly Challenge, and daily tasks that sit around long enough that you don't have to panic-log in every morning. If you're trying to keep your garage moving while saving your Forza Horizon 6 Credits for bigger purchases, Week 1 is worth doing early. The credit payouts aren't huge on their own, but they stack nicely with Series points, seasonal rewards, and the cars you'll unlock along the way. Getting Started With Blast from the Past The Weekly Challenge this time is called Blast from the Past, and it's built around the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12. No surprise there. The car fits the 1980s theme perfectly, and the tasks are simple enough that most players can knock them out in one short session. The catch is that you'll need the car first. At the moment, the most direct route is the Autoshow, where the DeLorean costs 72,000 credits. Use the manufacturer filter and switch to DeLorean rather than scrolling through half the showroom. It's quicker, and you won't end up buying the wrong thing because you were rushing. Once it's in your garage, hop in and drive it for a moment. That alone clears the opening step, so don't overthink it. Finishing the Weekly Challenge Without Wasting Time After you've taken the DeLorean out, the next step asks you to hold at least 88 mph for ten seconds. Yes, it's a Back to the Future nod, and yes, it's as easy as it sounds if you pick the right bit of road. A long, straight stretch works best. Don't choose a twisty mountain route just because it looks nice. Get the car up to speed, keep your steering clean, and let the timer do its thing. Then open Photo Mode and take a picture with the DeLorean clearly in frame. You don't need a fancy angle, a landmark, or perfect lighting. The last step is a road race win. Pick a race you know, lower the difficulty if you just want it done, and use the DeLorean as required. The full challenge pays up to 25,000 credits and gives Series progress, which makes it one of those jobs you really shouldn't skip. Daily Challenges That Pair Well With the DeLorean The daily tasks in Week 1 lean hard into the 1980s, so the DeLorean you bought for the Weekly Challenge keeps paying for itself. Sweet Car O'Mine asks you to take any 1980s car to the Evolving World Car Meet and park up. The Hokubu Region is where you want to look, close to the coastline and just east of Hokubu Circuit. Take on Me is a different sort of task, since it sends you into The Eliminator for a head-to-head race. You don't have to win the whole battle royale. Just get through the required duel and move on. Temple of Zoom needs a 1980s Ford at the Temple of Nachi Falls, so check your garage before buying anything. The temple sits in the western side of Takashiro, and once you've spotted the falls, head a little south. Take the photo there and you're done. Easy Credits From the Rest of the Week The later dailies are just as quick if you set them up properly. Be Excellent to Each Other is almost free progress, since all you have to do is send a Gift Drop to another player. If your garage is thin, don't donate your best car. Pick something cheap or spare. Short Circuit sends you to Shimanoyama Circuit in a 1980s vehicle and asks for a win, so the DeLorean can come out again if you don't feel like swapping. Ghostbuster is another 1980s-car task, this time in Rivals. You're racing against a ghost lap, not a live player, which makes it much less stressful. Choose a route you can drive cleanly and focus on beating the target time rather than throwing the car into every corner. Life Moves Pretty Fast changes the mood a bit. You'll need any Ferrari and you must hit 150 mph. If you already own one, great. If not, the Autoshow is your fallback, though it's worth checking rewards and wheelspins before spending big. Final Thoughts Week 1 of Series 2 is a good example of why it pays to read the challenge requirements before buying cars at random. One 1980s car, especially the DeLorean, can handle a surprising amount of the work, and the rest is mostly quick driving, a photo or two, and a couple of mode-specific tasks. The dailies also stay active for a full week after they unlock, so you've got breathing room if real life gets in the way. Still, it's better not to leave everything until the last night. Seasonal playlists have a habit of feeling easy until you're trying to cram seven small jobs into one tired session. If you're short on time or trying to build your garage faster, some players look for cheap Forza Horizon 6 Credits to smooth out the early purchases, but the smartest move is still to finish the weekly and daily rewards first because they're sitting there waiting for you.
